Quotes Worth Repeating By Bob Kelly

This is a compilation of quotes both familiar and unfamiliar, each worth repeating whether in spoken word or in written form. Compiled from a collection in the author’s possession going back over two decades, Quotes worth repeating  contains a vast variety in terms of subjects and topics- raging from inspirational to entertaining, educational to spirituality motivating, and humour to uplifting.
At the core of this work is the firsthand experience of the author, Bob Kelly, as teacher, seminar leader, speech writer, public speaker, and president of World Crafters Inc., a firm that specializes in writing and editorial services.
I'm a sucker for a great quote book and this is one I'm enjoying. Selections range from funny to profound. Every preacher, teacher, writer, public speaker, etc should have a collection of quote books to season a sermon and drive home a point.
Mark Twain said, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug." Every public speaker and writer knows the power of the right word, but finding such words for a particular occasion can be difficult. A prolific author and an accomplished public speaker, Bob Kelly has made a living by mastering the use of language and sharing it with others.
This collection includes familiar quotes along with a variety of unique quotes gathered by Kelly over the course of twenty-plus years. Selections range from funny to profound, from inspirational to entertaining, from educational to spiritually motivating and uplifting.
There aren't many people in the world who love quotations more than I do, and Bob Kelly may be one of them. For many years now, I have been a subscriber to his "Quotes of the Day" Newsletter, and I have recently spent many enjoyable hours perusing his excellent anthology, "Worth Repeating." Kelly's book is a true Labor of Love, and I enthusiastically recommend it. If you're a serious quotation collector--as I am--you will find many new and impressive quotations on a host of subjects. Readers with a traditional religious perspective are in for a special treat, as Kelly has scoured that body of literature for many real gems. But Kelly is exceptionally well-rounded, and has also included many spectacular quotations from secularists, rationalists, and freethinkers like Bertrand Russell, Thomas Huxley (the guy who coined the word "agnostic") and "The Great Agnostic" himself, Robert G. Ingersoll. I have hundreds of quotation anthologies in my personal library, and Kelly's book is one of my favorites
